Wonky Houses Bag Class

This is a class being offered at the Black Rabbit Sewing Retreat being held at the Penticton Seniors Center. This is a Saturday only event. This event Includes dinner, bag, pattern, instructor and goody bag. Please bring your own drinks/snacks/lunch; a sit down dinner will be provided.  

There is a $60 kit available to purchase separately for this class which includes a large felt bag, backing, 7 fat quarters, 4 skeins of ice dyed embroidery floss, and patterns for the 8 houses in the sample. 

Please bring: 

• Basic sewing supplies (needle, thread, scissors, etc.)
• Embroidery thread (ice dyed preferred)
• Fabric scraps or starter kit
• Pocket fabric 18" x 12" (this is what we sew the houses to; included in the kit)
• Fusible stabilizer, both lightweight and heavyweight
• Mini iron and wool mat or table top ironing board
• Embellishments of your choice (lace, beads, buttons, etc.) 

Class Policies:

-        Classes have a limited number of spaces and do fill up quickly. Payment must be made to reserve your spot.  We accept cash/debit/credit cards/e-transfers. Classes are on a first come, first served basis.

-        It is REALLY important classes start on time. Please arrive 5min before the start of class to be fully set up and ready to go! Late arrivals can be very disruptive. 

-        If you miss a class, that is your responsibility. No make-up classes will be offered. Please call/email the store to inform us of your absence.

-        Please put cell phones on vibrate or turn off for the classes.

-        We are a scent-free store, please refrain from perfume/heavy scented creams for the class.

-        Please read over your supply list and pattern prior to class. Some preparation may be required before class (example: cutting out a pattern).  Multiple day classes often have homework assignments.

-        Please bring your sewing machine in good working order with all necessary accessories and supplies. The store may not be opened while your class is taking place to purchase supplies.

Cancellations

-        If you are unable to attend the class, 10 days’ notice must be given for a store credit.  No refunds will be given after that time, though you may send a friend in your place.

-        We do have a minimum number of students needed to run a class.  If we must cancel a class due to lack of enrollment, you will be given a full refund.
